Why should I used this silly thing?!!

Well,.. if you have to ask, you obviously aren't a big enough fan of Woot to care. Otherwise, you would know that all the REALLY good items get snapped up shortly after they are posted on the site. For at least half of the USA, this is WELL before we wake up in the morning. If you are like me, you simply can't stay up late enough every night to watch for things like the elusive Bag O' Crap.

So, it would seem, that the ideal solution to this problem is to go to sleep, and wake up after a couple hours to check that day's Woot. Well, let's do one better. Use this tool to monitor Woot for you, and eliminate the need to wake for Woot on a nightly basis. If that special item you want is posted, you will be bluntly woken up by a ringing bell. Just make sure the sound for your computer is on and close/loud enough for you to hear from your bed.

Alternatively.. perhaps you ARE awake when Woot gets updated, but for some reason you often forget to check it. Use the alarm in a similiar manner to give you a nice reminder to check if your item gets posted. You can also receive an email if you'd rather just have your sound off. Either way, you will be notified within 29 seconds of your item being posted.

Finally.. this tool is useful for monitoring a Woot-Off! Since the items change throughout the day, you can actually get some work done instead of obsessively checking Woot every 5-10 minutes.
